Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate a production machine following established procedures. You will secure materials, feed the machine, and maintain clean, safe work areas while keeping production records up to date.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of manufacturing or assembling experience and a basic math background. This entry role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operates production machine in accordance with established procedures.
• Feeds the machine safely and efficiently per procedures.
• Stacks completed products according to procedures; may cover, label and band components/finished product as required.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection and reports issues.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standard compliance.
• Performs duties following safety and quality procedures and participates in safety/CI meetings.
