Job summary

UFP Industries in Texas seeks a Machine Operator I to set up and operate production machinery, following established procedures. The role requires securing materials and supplies and maintaining orderly work areas. Candidates should be at least 18 and have at least 6 months of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing or assembling experience.
  • Basic math skills; ability to work with measurements.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area set up.
  • Operates and feeds the machine following procedures.
  • Stacks products and labels/covers components as needed.
  • Keeps the work area safe, clean and organized.
  • Completes pre-shift startup inspection and reports problems.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
  • Follows safety and quality procedures and policies.
  • Participates in safety and CI programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
