Qualifications

• No prior training required; on-the-job training provided.
• Able to stand for full shift and perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements.
• Comfortable reading gauges and inspecting parts for quality.

Responsibilities

• Operates various machine tools following standard procedures to meet production quotas.
• Cleans machine fixtures and loads raw material onto machines.
• Machines parts from raw materials to meet blueprint specifications.
• Keeps track of number of parts produced daily.
• Gauges parts using calibrated instruments to ensure quality control standards.
• Reads dial indicators and recognizes problems with machines.
• Reports errors in production and performance to supervisor.
• Responds to machining problems while issues arise.
• Maintains work station by cleaning equipment and work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
