Job summary

Barletta Boats is seeking a diligent Machine Operator to support pontoon boat fabrication in our Bristol, IN facility. You will operate key production machinery, set up equipment, and perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.

Ideal candidates will have prior machine operator experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings and measurements. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Tube Seamers, CNC Routers, Press Brakes, Shears, Benders, and similar equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Must have the ability to perform all physical requirements for the position including standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Tube Seamers, CNC Routers, Press Brakes, Shears, Benders, and other production machinery.
• Set up machines according to production specifications.
• Perform routine quality checks and verify precision of machined components.
• Identify and report defects or production issues.
• Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
• Follow all safety guidelines and report concerns immediately.
• Collaborate with production team members to achieve daily goals.
• Maintain accurate production records and machine settings.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to meet and maintain high-quality standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs or adjustments.
• Support a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for safest behaviors.
