Job summary

Wm. T. Burnett Holding, LLC is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator I to learn and operate basic production equipment across departments, including 823, Logplant, 5E, and Lamination. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and attention to detail while providing hands-on training in a manufacturing setting.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM. Ideal candidates are reliable, eager to learn equipment, and capable of lifting up to 75 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (foam or chemical industry preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain production documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn new equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor basic machinery such as vertical and horizontal balers.
• Assist with material handling and ensure proper removal and disposal of scrap materials.
• Perform visual quality inspections on product and report any defects or irregularities.
• Support start-up and shutdown operations of machines under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace following all safety and housekeeping standards.
• Assist in basic preventive maintenance and machine checks as directed by supervisor.
• Follow all PPE, safety, and environmental compliance procedures.
• Document production activities and report downtime or safety concerns promptly.
• Participate in on-the-job training to develop multi-machine operational skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
