The Finishing Machine Operator (Folding Gluer Machine Operator) is responsible for setting up and operating machines used in the post-print label finishing process. Experience is not required but is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient make-ready on all assigned cartons.
• Set production speeds for each job to maximize machine capabilities. Advise team lead if additional help is needed.
• Use correct adhesives and notify team lead of issues like fiber tear or glue voids.
• Inspect cartons during runs for adhesion, pre-break, and alignment.
• Monitor adhesive application for proper placement and quantity.
• Check print quality to prevent ink rub or offsetting.
• Ensure sufficient cases are packed for maximum productivity.
• Properly feed and stack cartons during runs.
• Assist in training other employees as needed.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and minimize waste.
• Verify correct count and packing methods.
• Complete all required paperwork promptly.
• Ensure labels match Job Ticket specifications.
• Use mechanical and non-mechanical jacks to move skids.
• Follow all company policies, GMP, safety standards, BRC standards, and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in cutting operations preferred.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Problem-solving skills for standardized situations.
