Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an assembly technician to join our manufacturing team in Wisconsin. You will assemble parts and sub-assemblies in designated work cells, use hand and power tools, and maintain takt time while ensuring quality.

You will interact with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials, and participate in lean activities as needed. The role requires basic computer skills to read work instructions and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reading, writing and following safety instructions in English.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts and sub-assemblies in designated work cells.
  • Maintain takt time and perform quality checks.
  • Operate hand and power tools and related equipment.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely parts delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Where Is The Work

On-Site (5 days)

Pay And Benefits
  • Starting wage: $24.85
  • Second & Weekend Shift Premium: $2.50
  • Medical & Vacation – upon completion of 84-day probationary period.
  • PTO/Sick Leave – after 6 months.
  • 401K match up to 2.5%, plus an additional 2.5% core contribution.

Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly of parts and sub-assemblies within designated work cells in the plant, following established methods and sequences.
  • Work in designated workstation and ensure tasks are completed within the specified Takt time.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, including but not limited to wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding
  • Operate a variety of machines and presses.
  • Receives work instructions from a member of management or a team lead.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists
  • Performing quality checks and tests as well as assisting in identifying and resolving problems.
  • Must participate in basic problem solving, 5-S, and lean activities.
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and elevate issues as necessary.
  • Basic functional knowledge of computers and ability to read and acknowledge work instructions electronically.
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional departments to ensure parts are brought to the production line in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Work any shift and work overtime as necessary to ensure that production demands are met.
  • Crosstrain both within and outside the assigned production area.
  • Use all required personal protective equipment.
  • Comply with all established plant rules and policies.
  • Contribute in a positive manner to the work teams in the assigned work area.
Physical Requirements
  • Independently capable of lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 35lbs
  • Physical mobility within the work facility, including repetitive bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, gripping and/or stooping.
  • Ability to work at heights both on ladders and lifts as required, while using proper fall protection.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions, standard work, job breakdown sheets, and safety instructions in English.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required.
