Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a welder for on-site production in Wisconsin. You will weld in- and out-of-position, perform fabricating, and participate in lab training for ASME/PED certifications.

You will follow management instructions, operate forklifts and cranes, and help identify issues to keep production flowing efficiently. The role requires reading and following English instructions, passing a proficiency test, and completing a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

  • Completion of formal welding program or equivalent on the job experience.
  • Required Weld Process: 2F, 2G.
  • Preferred Weld Process: 3F, 3G, 4F, 4G.
  • Completion of company approved proficiency test prior to employment.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions in English.
  • Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Performs in and out of position welding.
  • Performs hand fabricating.
  • Participate in weld lab classroom training for Trane and ASME/PED certifications as needed.
  • Receives work instructions from management or team lead.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists.
  • Perform quality checks and tests and assist in identifying and resolving problems.
  • Participate in problem solving, 5-S, and lean activities.
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and escalate as needed.
  • Read and acknowledge work instructions electronically.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure parts arrive on time.

Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)

Pay and Benefits:
  • Starting wage: $28.42
  • Second & Weekend Shift Premium: $2.50
  • Medical & Vacation –upon completion of 84-day probationary period.
  • PTO/Sick Leave – after 6 months.

  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional departments to ensure parts are brought to the production line in a timely manner.

Job requirements:
  • Work any shift and work overtime as necessary to ensure that production demands are met.
  • Crosstrain both within and outsidethe assigned production area.
  • Use all required personal protective equipment.
  • Comply with all established plant rules and policies.
  • Contribute in a positive manner to the work teams inthe assigned work area.
Physical requirements:
  • Independently capable of lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 35lbs
  • Physical mobility within the work facility, including repetitive bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, gripping and/or stooping.
  • Ability to work at heights both on ladders and lifts as required, while using proper fall protection.
