Job summary

Riverpoint Medical in Portland, OR is seeking an entry-level Machine Maintenance Technician I to support our clean room environment and braiding equipment, ensuring reliable operation of precision medical devices.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document activities, assist with repairs, manage spare parts and inventory, and collaborate with maintenance teammates to keep facilities and equipment in top condition.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant work experience or High School Diploma (preferred but not required).
• Experience using basic hand tools/power tools.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Able to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Able to work both independently and as a team.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds if necessary.
• Plumbing, carpentry, and fabrication experience (preferred).
• Experience using DelmiaWorks (preferred).
• Forklift experience (preferred).
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents (preferred, on the job learning).

Responsibilities

• Performs extensive preventive maintenance of braiding equipment.
• Follows department schedule for PMs, repairs and installations.
• Documents PM and repair activities in approved forms.
• Maintains braider maintenance log for on-time maintenance.
• Uses ticketing system for unscheduled maintenance requests.
• Maintains PM/spare parts inventory.
• Assists with receiving/moving equipment throughout the facility.
• Supports facility-related improvements/repairs as needed.
• Keeps workspace clean and organized.
• Cross-trains to provide backup within the team.
• Supports adherence to policies, safety, and quality standards.
