Job summary

Plaza Tire Service is hiring a Lube and Tire Technician to join our busy auto service team. This entry-level role focuses on oil changes, tire services, inspections, and maintaining shop cleanliness while learning foundational skills from experienced technicians.

You'll perform tire mounting, balancing, rotations, fluid checks, and Digital Vehicle Inspections, with training provided and opportunities to advance into higher technician roles in a values-driven Sun Auto network.

Qualifications

• Strong interest or desire to work in the automotive repair industry.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn basic automotive maintenance and repair processes.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety standards, and store processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, service advisors, and store leaders.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance, including fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, and air and cabin filters.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and repair order documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Identify safety-related issues and communicate findings through the proper store channels.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections, where applicable, under supervision.
• Keep customer vehicles, the shop, service area, showroom, restrooms, and outside areas clean and customer-ready.
