Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Lube and Tire Technician in a hands-on shop environment. You will perform oil changes, tire services, and basic maintenance, while completing Digital Vehicle Inspections and accurate repair documentation.

The role emphasizes learning from experienced technicians and growing through structured training, with opportunities for career progression within the Sun Auto network.

Qualifications

• Reliable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• 18 years or older to comply with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services: mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance: fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, filters.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and document repairs accurately.
• Identify safety issues and report findings through proper channels.
• Conduce State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable under supervision.
• Keep vehicles, shop, and showroom clean and customer-ready.
• Transport customers and pick up parts, tires, and supplies as directed.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; report hazards promptly.
• Collaborate with technicians and service advisors; partake in training.
• Maintain flexible schedule and support weekend shifts when needed.
• Adhere to company policies and employee handbook guidance.
