Job summary

Valvoline is hiring an Entry-Level Lube Technician at 5701 University Ave NE, Fridley, MN 55432. No automotive experience is required; we provide award-winning training to teach oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotation, battery and light/wiper inspection, and a full 18-point maintenance check.

You will deliver friendly customer service while performing preventive maintenance. Applicants should be punctual, eager to learn, and capable of standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Training provided from day one to thrive as a Lube Technician.
• Ability to review, read, and understand training materials and safety procedures.
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.

Your road to VIOC doesn’t require previous automotive experience. Through our award‑winning training program, we’ll teach you how to:

• Change oil
• Check and refill fluids

• Test and replace batteries
• Inspect and replace lights and wipers
• Perform an 18‑point maintenance check
• And other preventive maintenance services

• Schedule flexibility (Weekend availability is likely, but we ensure you don’t work late nights or holidays)
• An eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer‑focused team
• This role requires the ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking
• We expect you can: Stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Crouch, bend, twist, and work with your hands above your head
• Be comfortable working in a non‑climate‑controlled environment
