Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman to help build and repair electrical distribution systems. The role involves working on energized and de-energized lines, traveling to multiple job sites as needed, and reporting to the foreman.

Responsibilities include constructing and maintaining overhead lines, climbing various structures, and operating bucket trucks and related equipment. Safety and teamwork are essential in this physically demanding position.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant field experience.
• Valid CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends/holidays/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair power lines, poles, insulators, and conductors.
• Climb structures using approved methods.
• Work at heights and near energized equipment.
• Operate overhead line equipment (bucket trucks, digger derricks).
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Support outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotations.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
