Job summary

Wave Aquatics seeks entry-level lifeguards for the Redmond Pool in Redmond, WA. Positions include Part-Time, Non-exempt and Full-Time, Non-exempt; training is provided to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard certification before employment.

As a lifeguard you will enforce pool rules, ensure guest safety, respond to emergencies, maintain the facility and deliver excellent in-person and over-the-phone service.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED (In Progress OK).
• Able to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certification prior to start (Wave provides course).
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills with guests of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Enforce pool rules and regulations
• Prioritize safety of everyone in the facility at all times
• Guard on stand and ensure Red Cross Safety Standards are met
• Complete opening/closing procedures and facility maintenance
• Provide excellent guest service in person and by phone
• Prepare facilities for programs and ensure safety equipment is checked daily
• Complete incident and safety reports as required
• Abide by Wave Aquatics Handbook policies
