Kelly Services in Lancaster, NY is seeking a Lens Maker I (Production Worker) for first shift (8am to 4:30pm). The role involves operating precision contact lens manufacturing equipment, performing polishing and blocking tasks, and ensuring traceability and quality throughout the production process.

This entry‑level position includes comprehensive training and opportunities to work with cutting‑edge equipment, with overtime possible as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and strong communication.
• Strong math skills are a plus.
• Good hand-eye coordination for small parts.
• Medical device manufacturing experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate computerized contact lens manufacturing and lathing equipment, manual polishing machines, and optical blocking equipment.
• Perform lens deblocking, product inspection, packaging, and shipping.
• Maintain accurate lens identification and traceability throughout all process steps.
• Record and report production data and observations.
• Follow SOPs, quality standards, and government regulations.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and follow safety practices.
• Coordinate daily tasks with supervisors and team members.
• Use enterprise production systems to manage orders and workflow.
• Handle incoming materials, replenish supplies, and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Participate in periodic business-related projects and support continuous production improvement.
• Occasionally work overtime as required.
