CPS, Ltd. is seeking an entry-level Land Surveyor I to join our Grand Forks, ND team. The position supports field crews and office tasks in a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm with a four-decade history of serving surveying, land development, and municipal projects.

Qualified candidates should be hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to perform fieldwork alongside experienced staff. A valid driver's license and solid computer skills are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Entry Level.
• Must be hard-working, self-motivated, energetic, and have strong computer skills.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
• Strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable of conventional survey equipment, robotic total stations, and Trimble RTK GPS systems.
• Ability to use the Microsoft Office Products.
• Communicate clearly with co-workers, clients, and the public.
• Perform topographic and boundary surveys.
• Ability to understand legal descriptions. Have basic knowledge about what is involved with legal descriptions.
• Perform fieldwork and computations.
• Assist in construction staking for site development, highway and street, utilities, and other related projects.
• Familiar with standard survey practices.
• Provide quality control and quality assurance.
• Work effectively independently or as a team member.
