Homebound is seeking a Land Acquisition Analyst in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to support our land teams across Texas. You will underwrite land and lot opportunities, prepare IC submittals, and build market analyses to guide site selection and pricing decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, Urban Planning, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in real estate, homebuilding, land development, or related analytical roles.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling fundamentals (cash flows, IRR, sensitivity analysis).

Responsibilities

• Underwrite land and lot opportunities: build and maintain pro formas, takedown schedules, and returns analyses to test deal viability.
• Prepare Investment Committee submittals: assemble IC memos, exhibits, site maps, and data for DFW/Houston leaders.
• Conduct market analyses: research submarkets, school districts, growth trends to support site selection and pricing recommendations.
• Build competition analyses: track pricing, incentives, lot sizes, products, and sales pace for deal teams.
• Screen and track the deal pipeline: log opportunities, perform initial site screens, and maintain pipeline reporting.
• Support due diligence: order and track third‑party reports and monitor critical dates.
• Assist with lot purchase agreements: abstract terms and build term comparisons across opportunities.
• Maintain market data: keep comp databases, GIS maps, and price trackers up to date.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally: align with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Pre‑construction on pricing and schedule assumptions.
• Get out in the field: visit sites and meetings across markets with land leaders.
