Job summary

Parkside Utility Construction, LLC is seeking an entry-level Laborer for field-based telecom aerial work in Bethel Park, PA and surrounding areas. The role involves assisting crew with tools, equipment, and materials, plus site setup and safety duties.

This is an hourly, full-time position with growth opportunities. Responsibilities include assisting with bucket trucks, traffic control, and documentation, while maintaining equipment and following DOT guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow per local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and be on-call as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed

• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines

• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus
• Physical abilities & exposures
• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
