Job summary

Parkside Utility Construction, LLC is hiring a Telecom Aerial Foreman to lead field crews in installing and maintaining aerial telecom systems. You’ll ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while guiding less experienced team members.

You’ll manage job sites, complete daily work orders, and be ready to travel for storm response on short notice. A DOT medical card is required, with CDL Class A preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• At least 3 years of related work experience in telecom construction or aerial installation.
• Pole climbing certification or willingness to obtain one.
• CDL Class A license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems in the field.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on job sites.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced crew members.
• Travel for storm response on short notice when required.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks documenting productivity and safety.

What you’ll do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
