Job summary

NeoGenomics in Aliso Viejo, CA seeks a Laboratory Technician I (Temp) to assist in processing specimens for clinical testing under supervision. This entry-level role offers learning opportunities while performing varied lab tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a BS/BA in science or AA/AS with MLT license, 1–3 years’ lab experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Shift is Sunday–Thursday, 10:00am–6:30pm, temp-status with agency.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in life or physical sciences preferred or AA/AS with MLT license.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Receives, organizes and processes clinical specimens accurately.
• Prepares data, printouts, and documents for review by licensed technologists.
• Operates automated equipment per SOP.
• Maintains reagents and records of reagents and controls.
• Maintains clean, functional lab environment and schedules upkeep.
• Takes part in quality control/assurance logging and meets safety policies.

Education

BS/BA in life or physical sciences preferred
