Job summary

Buck Knives in Post Falls, ID is seeking a Knifemaker to join our hands-on production team. You'll assemble knives and components, sand, sharpen, inspect quality, and work with a range of tools and presses. No knifemaking experience required; we’ll teach the processes.

Must be dependable with strong attendance and able to perform repetitive work while maintaining high quality. Training through Express Employment Professionals initially, with potential direct employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No previous knifemaking experience is required.
• We’re looking for people with the right attitude, reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assemble knives and knife components.
• Sand, edge, sharpen, tycro, buff, clean, and package knives.
• Work with hand tools, power tools, hydraulic presses, grinding wheels, leather wheels, and other production equipment.
• Inspect knives and components for quality.
• Handle small parts quickly, accurately, and repetitively.
• Meet established production and cycle-time standards.
• Safely handle knives and sharp components throughout your shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S practices.
