Job summary

PD Inc in the United States is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) at an entry level to provide cybersecurity and information assurance support for federal information systems and cloud services. The role emphasizes foundational knowledge and coordination of tasks and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Foundational cybersecurity knowledge or related field.
• Understanding basic information security concepts.
• Familiarity with NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP or similar frameworks.
• Experience coordinating tasks, milestones, and meetings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to document and communicate with technical personnel, management, and Government stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn federal cybersecurity processes and tools.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for Tier 4 background.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior ISSOs with RMF implementation and documentation.
• Support development and maintenance of SSPs, control statements, inventories, diagrams, procedures, and POA&M artifacts.
• Assist with security control assessments, authorization activities, ATO package preparation, and remediation tracking.
• Track vulnerabilities, findings, remediation activities, POA&M items, due dates, and responsible parties.
• Coordinate cybersecurity meetings, maintain action-item trackers, and follow up with stakeholders.
• Maintain schedules/status information for authorization, assessment, remediation, and other activities.
• Identify risks and escalate issues to senior ISSO or project lead.
• Support vulnerability-management activities and enterprise security tools.
• Engage with cloud/enterprise tech such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, ServiceNow, Splunk, Defender, Tenable/Qualys, Okta, Palo Alto, Zscaler.
