Job summary

ZGF Architects in Los Angeles is seeking an Entry-Level Interior Architect/Designer to join our design team. The role emphasizes collaboration, strong communication, and execution across design phases.

The ideal candidate will bring 3–6 years of related experience and a professional degree in interior design or architecture. You will contribute to drawings, renderings, and digital models, support performance-driven design goals, and assist in Construction Administration and marketing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level degree in interior design or architecture.
  • 3–6 years of related experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience detailing and producing construction documents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior design/architectural tasks under supervision and with teammates.
  • Develop design/technical solutions for all project phases, including drawings and renderings.
  • Produce design drawings, presentation drawings, and digital models for teams.
  • Research products/materials to inform documentation and design decisions.
  • Contribute to project narrative for performance goals and budgets.
  • Support Construction Administration and project close-out.
  • Assist in marketing and office-wide initiatives.
  • Seek new responsibilities and challenges.

Job description

ZGF is seeking a dynamic and well-rounded Entry-Level Interior Architect / Designer to join our team in our Los Angelesoffice. We are looking for thoughtful individuals with excellent communication and technical skills. The ideal candidate will have between 3-6 years of professional experience and will bring design excellence to every project.

As an Entry-Level Interior Architect / Designer, you will…

  • Perform interior design/architectural assignments under the supervision of a senior designer, and work independently as well as collaboratively with others toward design solutions
  • Assist in developing design and technical solutions for projects in all phases, including graphics, renderings, and performance metrics for the successful communication of the design goals
  • Provide production of design drawings, presentation drawings, and digital models in support of design teams
  • Have a passion forprogramming, planning, materiality, detailing, and furnishings
  • Research products and materials, review existing projects, and those under construction to inform the production of design documentation
  • Assist in the project’s narrative for meeting building performance goals, including metrics, verification, and design integration
  • Contribute to the effective performance of the Project Team regarding project quality, schedule, and budget
  • Assist in the execution of Construction Administration responsibilities and project close-out
  • Contribute to general office-wide initiatives and marketing efforts
  • Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges
Qualifications:
  • A professional Interior Design or Architectural degree
  • 3-6 years of related experience
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and passionate
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent team communication skills, design presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Experience detailing and execution of construction documents
  • Experience with complex multi-phased higher education, healthcare, and/or corporate workplace projects is desired
  • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
Base Salary Range

$75,000/yr - $85,000/yr
