Job summary

ZGF Architects in Portland, OR seeks an Entry-Level Architect to join our Architectural Group. You will work under experienced staff on diverse projects and help produce design drawings, construction documents, and presentations, supporting Architecture, Urban Design, and Interior Design.

Requirements include a professional Architectural degree and 0–4 years of related experience, proficiency with Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite, and strong communication and graphic skills.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience supporting architectural design in a professional setting.
  • A basic understanding of architectural design and construction principles.
  • Architectural ability in the design of buildings and site.
  • Experience with the production of design documentation would be valuable.
  • Curiosity and a strong interest in graphic storytelling.
  • Applicants ought to have a professional Architectural degree and 0-4 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with modeling in Revit
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Rhino or other parametric design software.
  • What we do is all about design – having good communication and graphic skills along with physical and digital modeling and rendering ability is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design team for generating and developing design ideas.
  • Work with team members from concept design through construction administration.
  • Produce design drawings and construction documents, presentation drawings, graphic design work, and digital and physical modeling in support of Architecture, Urban Design, and Interior Design, as well as marketing efforts.
  • Help tell the story of our projects through various media.
  • Work under minimal supervision and receive instruction and mentoring regarding tasks and management.
  • Perform fundamental architectural tasks and work collaboratively with others toward design solutions for our projects.

Job description

ZGF is seeking an Entry-Level Architect to join our team in our Portland, OR office. We are looking for creative, motivated, and curious design talent with a passion for architecture and the built environment. We are offering a position within the Architectural Group for an individual who will work under the direction of experienced professional design staff on a diversity of project opportunities. If you have a passion and a desire to exercise your design skills, we are interested in talking with you.

As an Entry-Level Architect, you will…
  • Will be part of a community focused on design excellence and innovation.

Base Salary Range

$62,000/yr - $67,000/yr
