We are seeking a full-time, in-office Associate Underwriter in Grand Rapids, MI, to join our Amwins Access team.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience supporting staff in an office environment or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Prior insurance experience is a plus.
• Property and Casualty License or the ability to obtain one within 90 days (Amwins covers costs and provides study support).
• Eagerness to learn and grow as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

• Review submission information for new or renewal quotes.
• Assist in rating and preparing quotes as directed by Underwriters.
• Handle inspection recommendations and discrepancies.
• Monitor reports for consistency.
• Assist with policy issuance, endorsements, and audits.
• Support accounting procedures like invoicing.
• Enter data into various internet-based systems.
