Job summary

GardenCore is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to assist with basic mechanical tasks and ongoing equipment upkeep at our mulch and soil production facility in Ohio. You will work year-round in varied weather, learning alongside senior staff and supporting automation lines for bagging and packaging pallets.

Ideal candidates have hands-on maintenance experience, basic mechanical skills, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role seeking hands-on maintenance experience.
• Willingness to learn advanced mechanical skills.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs.
• Assist senior Maintenance with equipment inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance for automation lines that perform sorting, bagging, and packaging pallets.
• Support production equipment used in mulch, soil, sand, stone, and similar materials for major retailers.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues.
• Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and remove debris from line areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Learn new mechanical and technical skills through hands-on training.
• Provide support during peak production periods across all seasons.
• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment, heavy trucks and special purpose machines as assigned.
