Job summary

REDGUARD is seeking an entry-level Cleaning and Service Technician (Service Lot Technician I) to perform repairs, maintenance, and cleaning on blast-resistant buildings and fleet units. You will learn basic carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and welding tasks under supervision, ensuring safety and redeployment readiness.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to quality standards, and hands-on training.

Qualifications

• No industry experience required.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Team player with solid communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy (e.g., email, work order systems).
• Able to obtain forklift or heavy equipment certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in inspecting returned units to identify repairs under supervision, including basic replacements like flooring, walls, windows, doors, and lighting.
• Supports cleaning, washing, and preparation of buildings for redeployment.
• Learns basic maintenance tasks in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and welding with guidance from experienced technicians.
• Follows instructions to complete tasks and participate in quality checks.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and units as directed.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment using PPE and safety procedures.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates with the Service Lot Lead and other departments.
• Participates in general yard operations and assists with special projects as assigned.
