Job summary

RedGuard is seeking an entry-level Cleaning and Service Technician to perform repairs, prep, and preventive maintenance on blast-resistant buildings and related units in the service yard. You will learn basic carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and welding tasks under supervision.

You will support cleaning, inspection, and redeployment of lease fleet units, ensuring safety and quality standards while collaborating with teammates and more experienced technicians. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• No industry experience required.
• Able to use hand and power tools.
• Reads a tape measure and does basic arithmetic.
• Detail-oriented and can follow instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Basic computer literacy (email, work orders).
• Able to obtain forklift or heavy equipment certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in inspecting returned units to help identify necessary repairs under supervision.
• Supports cleaning, washing, and preparation of buildings to ensure they meet standards for redeployment.
• Begins learning and performing basic maintenance tasks in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and welding, with guidance from experienced technicians.
• Follows instructions to complete assigned tasks and participate in quality checks to ensure work meets standards.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and units as directed, helping extend fleet life.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment by using PPE and following safety procedures.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates effectively with the Service Lot Lead and other departments to complete tasks.
• Participates in general yard operations and assist with special projects or additional duties as assigned.
