Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Gaffney, SC is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install equipment under supervision.

You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect machinery, adhere to OSHA, and read simple schematics. Lifting up to 50 lbs, use variety of tools, and collaborate across departments.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license; prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years maintenance/repair experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic equipment, presses and cordless drills preferred.
• Ability to read measuring devices with 0.001 inch accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Follow OSHA safety requirements and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Read and interpret basic machine schematics.
• Organize parts and collaborate with other departments.
