UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install equipment and facilities under supervision.

This role involves working with mechanical systems, reading schematics, and following safety protocols, with opportunities for growth in a manufacturing setting. The position emphasizes organized record-keeping, teamwork, and continuous learning, including basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Must be able to use hydraulic, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps and other small tools safely and effectively.
• Willing to learn how to properly use measuring equipment to 0.001" accuracy (digital/dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, levels).
• Familiarity with related hand tools and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks including scheduled preventive maintenance as assigned by a supervisor.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery with hand and power tools.
• Follow OSHA requirements and practice safety in all activities.
• Read and interpret basic machine schematics with minimal guidance.
• Organize parts and materials in proper locations and collaborate with other departments.
• Display a positive team player approach and follow directions carefully.
