Job summary

Marie-Hélène Blain Styliste is seeking a Caseworker 1 to perform entry-level social service work in the BH/IDS Agency under close supervision. Responsibilities include gathering social information for treatment plans, assisting with SSI, DPW and VA benefits applications, and developing Individual Service Plans for clients in residential and day programming.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully examined and have a current score on file for the job title.
• Bachelor’s degree with relevant social science credits or two years’ related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and paraprofessional case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain social information for treatment plans and enrollment under supervision.
• Assist consumers in filing SSI, DPW and VA benefits.
• Develop and monitor Individual Service Plans for residential and day programming.
• Maintain files and advocate for appropriate treatment and life management goals.
• Coordinate and direct meetings to assess progress in charted areas.
• Access supportive services in the community for clients.
• Attend reviews to ensure adequate service levels and program implementation.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as directed.
• Provide technical assistance to providers for regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
