Everforth Apex in Merrifield, VA is seeking a Junior IT Administrator (IAM) to support day-to-day IAM operations across Entra, AD, AD-LDS, and ADFS. You will handle provisioning, application configuration, API permissions, and passwordless authentication tasks as part of a small team.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree and have 1–5 years in IT ops, with hands-on experience in AD and Entra. Remote work is allowed; the role offers learning opportunities, certifications, and credential

Qualifications

Entry-level IAM operations experience or IT operations with IAM exposure.
Familiarity with AD, Entra, and authentication concepts like SSO and MFA.
Understanding of API permissions, app registrations, and enterprise apps.

Responsibilities

Provision and de-provision SPNs in Microsoft Entra per standards.
Create and administer Enterprise Applications with sign-on settings and assignments.
Evaluate API permissions and route for approvals when privileged.
Coordinate renewal of client secrets and certificates to prevent outages.
Review new app requests against IAM best practices for governance boards.
Troubleshoot AD/Entra authentication failures and account lockouts.
Support passwordless authentication technologies and security keys.
