Job summary

247Hire is seeking an IAM professional to administer Service Principals and Enterprise Applications in Microsoft Entra. You will configure sign-on, assign ownership and user groups, and manage API permissions with least privilege.

Collaboration with Secrets Management for credential renewals will help prevent outages. Additional duties include governance review of new app requests, documenting dependencies, and advising on authentication protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and IWA.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in IT or related field.
• 1–3 years in IT operations, service desk, or related technical support.
• Familiarity with Active Directory fundamentals and authentication concepts.
• Understanding of modern authentication (SAML, OIDC, MFA).
• Experience with Entra admin center and basic user/group/app administration.
• Strong documentation and problem isolation skills.
• Good communication and ability to work with end users.

Responsibilities

• Manage Service Principal and Enterprise Application administration in Entra.
• Provision/de-provision SPNs in Entra per standards and workflows.
• Configure sign-on settings, ownership, and user/group assignments for Enterprise Applications.
• Evaluate and assign API permissions with minimum scope.
• Coordinate secret and certificate renewal with Secrets Management to prevent outages.
• Review new application requests against IAM best practices for governance.
• Document dependencies and gaps for IAM components of proposed apps.
• Assess support level for authentication protocols (OIDC, SAML, IWA).
• Determine provisioning models (SCIM, Just-In-Time, manual) and governance implications.
• Review permissions and flag excessive access requirements.
• Provide IAM consultation on Entra, AD, and AD-LDS components.
• Report on security group ownership, membership, and descriptions.
• Perform object management for service principals, accounts, and groups where automation is absent.
• Troubleshoot identity synchronization issues between Entra and AD.
• Guide users on approved intake channels for IAM services.
• Resolve AD account lockouts and authentication failures for human and non-human identities.
• Troubleshoot issues with YubiKey, HYPR, LastPass, and Conditional Access.policy.
• Assist with object recovery in Active Directory.
