Job summary

Jennings Mechanical is hiring an HVAC Service Technician I in Charleston, SC. You will learn through hands-on work on a wide range of commercial HVAC systems, supported by senior technicians and the Service Manager.

This role emphasizes troubleshooting, electrical and mechanical skills, and customer service. You’ll gain experience from startups, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repair while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn HVAC trade.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment startups and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on customer equipment.
• Complete warranty repairs and punch list work.
• Replace common HVAC components and assist experienced technicians.
• Document work clearly in service reports.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Service Technicians.
