Job summary

Guy Smith Home Services in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an Entry Level HVAC Installer to join a team focused on clean, quality installations and reliable service. You will participate in complete system changes and new installations, reading diagrams and ensuring proper operation while maintaining a professional home environment.

The role requires hands-on HVAC installation experience, basic electrical knowledge, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred.
• EPA 608 certification preferred or required depending on role.
• Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail.
• Basic electrical and low‑voltage knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install residential HVAC equipment including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, mini splits, central AC systems, air handlers, and condensers.
• Complete system change-outs, replacements, and new installations.
• Run line sets, condensate lines, venting, drains, and low-voltage wiring.
• Perform brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and system start-up.
• Install and modify ductwork as needed.
• Read installation instructions, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Test completed systems to ensure proper operation and performance.
• Communicate with homeowners and keep the work area clean and professional.
• Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicle.
• Follow all safety procedures, codes, and manufacturer requirements.
