Job summary

National Mechanical Experts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support HVAC design-build projects in the Charlotte, NC region. You will work with experienced teams on system design, estimating, technical sales, and project delivery from concept through commissioning.

This role provides a solid foundation for developing technical, business, and project management skills within the commercial HVAC industry and offers exposure to site assessments and field data collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with HVAC fundamentals and design software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooling and heating load calculations and equipment selection.
• Develop mechanical layouts, ductwork routing, and schematics.
• Assist in site assessments and collect field data for design.
• Assist with cost estimates, take-offs, and design-build proposals.
• Coordinate project delivery with operations and field staff.
• Participate in startup, commissioning, and project closeout.
