Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network in Burlington, Vermont is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our Facilities Management team. You'll help maintain HVAC systems, building infrastructure, and environmental controls to ensure safe, reliable patient care areas and support spaces.

Working with experienced technicians, you'll learn to troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with BAS operations while collaborating with plumbing, electrical, and carpentry

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and interest in HVAC and building maintenance.
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
• Valid Vermont Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• Able to work independently and as part of a Facilities team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on HVAC equipment and facility systems under supervision.
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining air handling units, pumps, motors, valves, and controls.
• Develop familiarity with BAS and use system information to address equipment and facility requests.
• Document maintenance activities and completed work after inspections.
