Job summary

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families in Rhode Island seeks a Junior Human Services Policy & Systems Specialist to support statewide planning and evaluation of human service programs under supervision.

You will assist in developing policies, conduct data analysis, prepare needs assessments and grant requests, and coordinate background checks and licensing activities as part of the Resource Families division. A valid RI driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of college-level coursework in a relevant field.
• Experience in a social service agency involved in human resources development.
• Ability to analyze data and make program recommendations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out analytical liaison and supportive work for statewide planning of human service programs.
• Assist in planning, development and implementation of policies in an electronic environment.
• Assist in preparing needs assessments and grant requests for human service programs.
• Provide supportive services in social services system needs, including parent/child visitation transportation and supervision/observation.
• Perform related duties as required.
