Kelly Services is currently seeking an Entry Level HSE Specialist for one of our top manufacturing clients in Anaheim, CA on a Contract to Direct Hire basis.

Ideal Candidate
  • Recent Graduate or soon-to-be Graduate with a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
  • Strong interest in EHS and a desire to learn and grow in the field
  • Ability to work full time hours

Compensation

$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Job Summary
  • The Health, Environmental, and Safety (HSE) Specialist will support the HSE team in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
  • This role provides hands‑on experience in various aspects of HSE management, including risk assessments, safety audits, training, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with EHS Compliance
  • Support the EHS team in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and documentation.
Conduct Safety Audits and Inspections
  • Participate in safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and job hazard analyses.
  • Help develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Training and Education
  • Support the development and delivery of EHS training programs for employees.
  • Assist in maintaining training records and tracking compliance.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near‑misses.
  • Help identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Documentation and Record Keeping
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date EHS documentation and records.
  • Hazardous waste manifest tracking
  • Assist in the preparation of EHS reports and presentations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects related to EHS processes and programs.
  • Chemical Inventory
  • Provide suggestions for enhancing EHS performance and culture.
  • Safety Raffles and Incentives
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in EHS and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Mail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous internship or work experience in an EHS‑related role.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Familiarity with EHS management systems and tools.
