IES Residential is seeking an HR Specialist to assist with day-to-day HR operations, onboarding, recordkeeping, compliance, and benefits queries at our Sugar Land, TX location.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, and proficiency in MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous internship, administrative, customer service, or HR support experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, manage email communication, and prepare professional documents.
• Comfortable learning and navigating internal software platforms.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within HR.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR questions and day-to-day HR needs.
• Help create a positive employee experience by providing responsive, professional, and confidential support.
• Assist employees with leave-related questions and support leave administration processes.
• Support unemployment claims administration by gathering documentation and coordinating responses as needed.
• Maintain and update employee records and HR data with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support HR compliance activities.
• Provide frontline support for employee questions related to benefits, policies, and HR programs.
• Partner with managers to ensure consistent HR support across locations.
• Support HR projects, employee engagement efforts, and team events.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling employee information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
