Job summary

LaGuardia Marriott-LAM is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Technician to respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance on hotel systems and equipment. You will diagnose issues, operate shut-offs, and ensure safety compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience in hotel maintenance, and a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include painting, plumbing, electrical work, and basic housekeeping-related tasks as part of the engineering team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and attend to guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen, and mechanical room equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and lighting.
• Program TVs and maintain inventory for engineering-related duties.
• Follow safety procedures and use Lockout/Tagout before work.
• Assist with landscaping and general building upkeep.
