Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an EMS Technician 1 to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment across our fleet. The role involves assisting with electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine repairs, and preparing equipment for service.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of mechanic experience with earth-moving or heavy construction equipment, a high school diploma or GED, and strong troubleshooting and safety awareness. Some tools may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school training desired.
• 1–3 years of mechanic experience with earth moving/heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize tasks; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on assigned equipment.
• Assist shop mechanics with electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine repairs.
• Prepare equipment for repair; maintain a safe work environment.
• Carry out load/unload of equipment and support other team members as needed.
