Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Jarrell, TX is seeking an EMS Technician 2 to perform preventive maintenance and diagnosis of heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems on large earthmoving machinery.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with Earth Moving and similar diesel equipment preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required, trade school or equivalent training desirable.
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills and safety-awareness are essential.
• Ability to prioritize, work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins and safety inspections on diesel and heavy equipment.
• Performs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and/or diesel engine maintenance.
• Fabricate parts and equipment, including torch cutting and arc welding as needed.
• Diagnose simple mechanical problems and assist with large component removal/installation.
• Maintain safe work environment and operate equipment for repair and loading/unloading.
