Job summary

FleetPride, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Heavy-Duty Technician I to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on trucks and trailers in a non-climate controlled shop environment.

Responsibilities include oil changes, brake work, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Valid CDL is preferred but not required; a Diesel Technology degree and Air Brake certification are part of the required background.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology degree or equivalent
• 1+ years mechanical experience
• Air Brake certification
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements
• Maintain 80% productivity
• Limit comebacks to zero
• Repair brakes (air, hydraulic, electric and brake accessories)
• Test drive vehicles and test components using proper equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair exhaust systems, steering systems, A/C
• Record final measurements, services and parts used during the last stage of a job
• File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
