Job summary

Pioneer Technical Services, Inc. is seeking entry-level personnel to perform construction inspection and geotechnical materials testing in our Butte Geotechnical Laboratory.

The role involves field density testing, sampling, and lab analysis with on-the-job training provided. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma; college education in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Soil Science is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma. College education preferred, but not required.
• Field of Study: Civil/Environmental Engineering, Soil Science, or related/equivalent education or experience.
• Computer Skills: Must be able to complete basic computer tasks that include Excel, Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Contractor or Site Supervisor regarding testing results and any failing tests or problems.
• Confer with supervisor to determine project details such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions.
• Inspect project site and evaluate contractor work to detect deficiencies and ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes.
• Prepare daily field inspection reports that document project activities and data.
• Conduct materials testing and analysis using provided tools and equipment.
• Basic Computer Skills.
