GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. in Manhattan, NY seeks an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. Based in our Manhattan office, you will perform geotechnical tasks under the supervision of a project manager, with local and regional travel.

You should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in teams. Qualifications include a BS in civil/geotechnical engineering, 0–5 years of experience, and willingness to work on project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 0–5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
• Effective communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in the field at project sites.
• Aptitude to work in teams and independently.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand design drawings and relate them to construction activities.
• Access to vehicle transportation and a New York driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Execute project tasks under project manager guidance and supervision.
• Log test borings, test pits, and other subsurface explorations.
• Communicate effectively with peers and management.
• Assist with preparation of geotechnical reports.
• Support One Company approach by assisting with tasks outside primary responsibilities as needed.
