Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and work on construction sites.
• Willingness to travel for several months.

Responsibilities

• Use GIS and GPS to plan geotechnical field work.
• Oversee subcontractors including drillers and traffic control.
• Create basic AutoCAD and GIS plans and figures.
• Assign and review laboratory tests.
• Perform calculations to support geotechnical designs.
• Support geotechnical report and proposal preparation.
• Observe geotechnical-related construction and perform materials testing.
• Coordinate geotechnical and materials testing field work.
• Prepare field reports.
• Review geotechnical and materials testing reports.
