Job summary

CERTERRA is expanding its Tucson, AZ office and seeks a Staff Geophysicist/Geoscientist/Hydrologist/Engineer. Entry-level or minimal experience role supporting data collection, analysis, and report writing in geophysics and earth sciences.

The candidate will process, model, and visualize data, and may travel extensively; field and office work are involved. Strong math/physics background and willingness to travel required.

Qualifications

• Degree includes advanced math and physics; transcripts required.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance; proactive and adaptable.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Assist scientists with data collection, analysis, and report writing.
• Process, model, and visualize earth science and geophysical data.
• Integrate GPS and surveying data into projects.
• Field projects range from 2 days to 2 months with extensive travel.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Geophysics/Geosciences/Geology/Earth Science with 2-4 years exp

Master's degree in Geophysics/Geosciences/Geology/Earth Science with little experience
