Job summary

Call & Nicholas, a geotechnical engineering firm based in Tucson, AZ, is seeking an entry-level geological engineer to join our consulting group. You will assist in developing tools for data collection and analysis, and support field data collection activities including rock fabric mapping, drone mapping, and oriented core logging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, mining engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 0-4 years’ experience.
• Domestic and international travel required.
• Professional registration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in editing and creating tools or programs for application to geotechnical engineering data collection and analysis (coding).
• Provide data collection support including rock fabric mapping, drone mapping, and oriented core logging.
• Process field data and perform analyses for surface and underground projects.
• Write technical reports and memos; support client relationships; prioritize safety and quality on all projects.
