Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Front-End Team Member to deliver a smooth checkout experience for customers. You will scan items, handle payments, bag groceries, and keep the checkout area organized in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll rotate between transactions, cart retrieval, restocking, and front-end upkeep while staying friendly and helpful to customers. Prior cashier training is a plus, and the role may require working early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ depending on local/state rules).
• Completion of cashier/front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at checkout and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Scan items, process payments, bag groceries and ensure accurate transactions.
• Maintain orderly checkout area and assist with cart retrieval and stocking as needed.
• Handle pricing questions and resolve minor issues with customers.
• Follow store policies and checkout procedures while adapting to changing priorities.
